A hedge of unruly edge defines

a level of garden above man-

grove’s coupled with sun drenched water that

comes and goes. Towards the Kaimai’s,  grey

lazy tendrils of smoke from farmland

curl round  trees of stillness. Nesting  birds

take off on differing routes at whim.

Busy herons deliberately

on course for better pastures in view.

Below, water plants store carbon like

no other; forested coastlines appreciate,

growing in value. Pollution de-

creasing;  supporting  life as we must

support each  other.  Let’s do it now!
